You have reached the new home of Primary Art Supply. Since opening in 1994 in Savannah Georgia, we have been providing an independent alternative to the boring run of the mill art supply store. Because we cater to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and are student & alumni owned and operated, we understand what you, the student or local artist, needs. Our staff is trained and willing to answer all of your questions.

May 28, 2009 - New Summer Hours

Spring semester is over! We hope all our local students had a great school year. Congratulations to everyone, especially those of you who are graduating!

We are updating our hours this summer: FRIDAYS we'll now be open from 10am to 6pm.    

So... Summertime store hours are Monday - Thursday: 8am - 8pm; and FRIDAY - Sunday: 10am - 6pm... in the fall we'll return to our normal schedule and have extended hours for the first week of classes.

April 30, 2009 - Acrylic Paint Demo

We will have painting demos in the store this Sunday, May 3rd between 1:00 - 4:00pm. A new demonstration begins every hour! We are featuring the new Interactive Acrylic paints from Atlier by Chroma. They really are different from other acrylics, with an extended curing time so they stay workable longer. Interactive paints can also be "rehydrated" even after they are dry to the touch! If you work in acrylics these are not demonstrations to be missed!
